Feature: 8 Things you’re Spending too much Money on (and How to Stop)

I was recently featured in the Balance Life Magazine where they discussed things that we are spending too much money on.

‘Preparation is key in everything,’ says Sonja. ‘Keep a list of what is really needed at home and stick to it. If it didn’t make the list before your trip to the grocery store,’ she says, ‘it probably wasn’t all that important to you anyway.’ And, when it comes to choosing which groceries you add to the trolley, she says buying pre-cut and pre-packed vegetables and salads works out a lot more expensive than buying the whole fresh veg. ‘Sure, it’s a lot more convenient,’ she says, ‘but remember that convenience comes at a cost. If you’re trying to cut back on expenses to save towards a goal, you will have to make some sacrifices along the way.’
